چکیده

In this letter, we propose a learning based channel estimation scheme for orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) systems in the presence of phase noise doubly-selective fading channels. Two-dimensional (2D) convolutional neural networks (CNNs) are employed effective training and tracking variation both as well time domain. The proposed network learns estimates coefficients entire time-frequency (TF) grid on pilots sparsely populated TF grid. order to make robust (PN) impairment, novel where data is rotated by random phases before being fed employed. Further, using estimated coefficients, simple PN compensation devised. Numerical results demonstrate that achieve OFDM performance noise.

Deterministic Subspace Based Blind Channel Estimation for Doubly-selective Channels

In this paper, a new deterministic subspace based blind channel estimation algorithm for doubly-selective channels is introduced. It operates on timeand frequency-shifted versions of the received sequence, and requires only two receive antennas. Furthermore, due to its deterministic nature, it needs only a short data record to work reliably. The proposed algorithm unifies and extends previously...

Pilot-Symbol-Aided OFDM Channel Estimation in Doubly-Selective Channels

Nowadays, most wireless communication standards utilize Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) as their modulation technique. For coherent detection, the performance of such systems depends strongly on the accuracy of the channel estimation. One possible estimation technique is Pilotsymbol-Aided Channel Estimation (PACE), which allows the reconstruction of the channel by means of int...

Low-complexity Estimation of Doubly-selective Channels

Doubly-selective wireless communication channels, i.e., those with significant selectivity in both time and frequency domains, arise in applications operating over wide bandwidths, at high carrier frequencies, and under high mobility conditions. Many systems designed to communicate over such channels are OFDMbased and employ large block lengths to combat capacity loss resulting from the use of ...

Estimation and Direct Equalization of Doubly Selective Channels

We propose channel estimation and direct equalization techniques for transmission over doubly selective channels. The doubly selective channel is approximated using the basis expansion model (BEM). Linear and decision feedback equalizers implemented by time-varying finite impulse response (FIR) filtersmay then be used to equalize the doubly selective channel, where the time-varying FIR filters ...

Block Transmissions over Doubly Selective Channels: Iterative Channel Estimation and Turbo Equalization

Modern wireless communication systems require high transmission rates, giving rise to frequency selectivity due to multipath propagation. In addition, high-mobility terminals and scatterers induce Doppler shifts that introduce time selectivity. Therefore, advanced techniques are needed to accurately model the timeand frequency-selective (i.e., doubly selective) channels and to counteract the re...
